Child Safety Standards

DayCrew has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). This page sets out the standards we hold, how anyone can report a concern, and what we do when they do. It applies to everything we run: the DayCrew app, our meetups, and any DayCrew channel.
Who DayCrew is for
DayCrew is an adults-only friendship service. Membership is restricted to people aged 18 and over, and the app is rated for an adult audience. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to apply, join a crew, or attend a meetup. If we learn that an account belongs to a minor, we remove it.
Our standards
- We prohibit any content or conduct that sexualises, endangers, or exploits a child, including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, and attempts to make contact with a minor.
- We act on every credible report. Accounts involved in CSAE are removed and permanently banned.
- We preserve relevant evidence and cooperate with law enforcement.
- We review these standards regularly and keep them published and publicly available.
How to report a child-safety concern
Anyone can report a concern, whether or not they are a DayCrew member, through any of these channels:
- Email: rosh@joindaycrew.com with "Child safety concern" in the subject line. This inbox is monitored and reports are treated as urgent.
- In the app: use "Report a safety concern" from your member hub to send a report directly to our safety contact.
- Instagram: direct message @daycrewclub.
If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. In Australia, dial 000.
What we do with a report
- Review: our designated safety contact reviews every report promptly.
- Act: we remove offending content and accounts and take steps to prevent recurrence.
- Preserve and report: we preserve relevant information and report suspected CSAE to the appropriate authorities.
Reporting to authorities
DayCrew complies with the child-safety laws that apply to us and reports suspected child sexual abuse and exploitation to the relevant regional and national authorities. In Australia, this includes the Australian Centre to Counter Child Exploitation (ACCCE) and the eSafety Commissioner; internationally, suspected CSAM is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) where applicable.
