What DayCrew is

DayCrew runs in-person social meetups on the Sunshine Coast, Australia. You apply, we match you into a crew of around 10-12 people, and you show up to the beach session. That's it. We're not a dating app and we're not a professional event organiser.

Eligibility

You must be 18+ to apply. We may decline or remove anyone for any reason, including breaches of these terms or community standards.

Community standards

  • Be present. Keep phones away during the session.
  • Show up. Only confirm "I'm in" if you genuinely plan to attend. Repeated unexcused no-shows may result in suspension.
  • Respect everyone. Harassment, hate speech, sexual misconduct, or unsafe behaviour will result in immediate removal.
  • Solo, not romantic. DayCrew is a friendship and social space. Don't use it as a dating platform — there are better tools.

Visibility to other members

Before a meetup your crew sees nothing individual about you — only aggregate stats (crew size, age range mix, top vibe tags). Strangers stay strangers until you actually meet.

After you attend a meetup, your first name and Instagram handle appear in the "People you've met" section on the hubs of everyone who was in your crew, so you can stay in touch. By applying, you're agreeing to that visibility.

Payments + meetup tokens

  • Each applicant gets one free meetup on signup.
  • After that: $5 per meetup token or $12/month for unlimited meetups.
  • Tokens never expire. Subscriptions renew monthly and can be cancelled any time from your hub.
  • Refunds: we don't refund used tokens or partial-month subscriptions. If something went genuinely wrong, DM @daycrewclub and we'll sort it case-by-case.
  • Referrals: when 5 people you invited each attend their first meetup, you can redeem one free month of membership by DM'ing @daycrewclub. Capped at 5 attended referrals lifetime, after which you're a Crew Ambassador 🌅 — we'll talk about more rewards (think hoodie).

At-your-own-risk

DayCrew sessions happen on a public beach. You're responsible for your own safety, possessions, swim ability, sun protection, and interactions with other attendees. We do not supervise or insure participants. By attending, you accept these risks.

Leaving

You can deactivate your account from your hub at any time, or DM @daycrewclub to be fully removed. Past attendance records are kept for our own analytics; payment records stay with Stripe.

Changes

We may update these terms as DayCrew grows. Material changes will be announced via email and/or Instagram. Continued use after an update means you accept the new terms.
