Sunshine Coast
Meet your crew on the Sunshine Coast.
Every second Saturday at 4pm, DayCrew puts a small crew of 5-8 people on Mooloolaba Beach for the weekend slow-down. Locals, blow-ins, and Noosa-area newcomers welcome for the run down the coast.

How it works
Noosa has plenty of beauty and plenty of cafes: what it doesn't have is an obvious place to meet new people who actually live here (or are about to). DayCrew's fortnightly Saturday session at Mooloolaba is that place for the whole Sunshine Coast. Same time, same beach, every second Saturday, so the regulars build a rhythm and newcomers always have a door to walk through. It is a scenic drive south from Noosa, and plenty of the crew make it a weekend habit.
- Every second Saturday · 4:00pm · Mooloolaba Beach
- Crews of 5-8, small enough to actually talk to everyone.
- Format: walk, swim, sit, chat. Phones in the bag.
- One free meetup to try. Then A$5 per session.
The beach itself
Mooloolaba is an easy beach to meet on. Long flat sand, the esplanade behind you, plenty of parking, and a gentle surf. The 4pm timing catches the start of golden hour: warm sand, soft light, the kind of conditions that make strangers easy. We pick a clear meeting spot and DM it to your crew once you are locked in for the week.
Common questions
Quick answers for your first meetup.
I live in Noosa: is it worth driving to Mooloolaba?
Plenty of the crew think so. It's a scenic run down the coast, and Saturday afternoon at Mooloolaba is the one fortnightly session, so it is easy to build into your weekend. Come once on the free first meetup and see.
Where on Mooloolaba Beach do you actually meet?
We pick a clear spot near the main beach. Once your crew is locked in for the week, you'll get a DM from @daycrewclub with the exact spot and your crew members' names.
I'm here on holiday for a week. Can I come once?
That's exactly what the free first meetup is for. Lots of holiday-makers and remote workers passing through come once, then again the next time if they're still around.
What if I'm shy?
The crew format does the hard part. You're placed into a small group of 5-8: no working the room, no being the brave one. By minute 10 the awkwardness is gone.
Is there a mid-week session too?
Not right now: DayCrew runs one fortnightly beach session, Saturdays at 4pm at Mooloolaba. It keeps the crew together in one place so the same faces build into real friendships.
Strangers in, friends out.
Bring yourself. We'll bring the crew. One free meetup to see if it's your thing.
