How it works

The Sunshine Coast has a thousand things to do and somehow still feels lonely if you're new, working remote, or just past the uni/club phase. DayCrew fixes the friendship gap with the most obvious local format: small crews of 5-8 people, on a beach, at golden hour, twice a week. You don't have to organise anything. You just show up.

The beach itself

The Sunshine Coast is built for this. The water's warm most of the year, golden hour stretches forever, and there's a kind of unhurried-ness that doesn't exist in the cities further south. Both beaches we use — Sunshine Beach and Mooloolaba — have wide flat sand, easy parking, and the kind of horizon that makes small talk dissolve into real talk.

Common questions

Quick answers for your first meetup.

Where exactly do you meet?

Wednesdays at Sunshine Beach (Noosa end). Saturdays at Mooloolaba. Once your crew is set, we DM the exact meeting spot from @daycrewclub on Instagram.

What if I don't know anyone?

That's the whole point. Everyone arrives as a stranger. The format is designed so you don't have to be the brave one — your crew is matched and waiting.

I'm just visiting — can I still come?

Yes. Plenty of attendees are on holiday or working remote for a few weeks. One free meetup, no subscription needed, perfect for a try.

How old is everyone?

Mostly mid-20s to mid-40s. Adults who are past clubs and want real friendship without the apps.

What if it rains?

We move to a covered spot nearby or shift the meet by an hour. You'll get a DM from @daycrewclub if anything changes.

Strangers in, friends out.
